"I have looked over the reviews here, especially the one star reviews. All I can conclude is that these people do not know how to use a vacuum. Here is my review. I am a clean person, at least I thought I was until I bought this Bissell. I had been using a reconditioned vacuum my parents bought me 10 years ago and had not realized how poor a job it was doing. After using this vacuum for the first time, my house literally SMELLED different.
The matted down pile on my normal carpet and my shag rugs were restored to new. They were both soft and fluffy to walk on again. It smelled like it does right after I have the carpets cleaned. This vacuum is POWERFUL. From what I gathered it seems to get everything out of the carpet. Stuff I didn't even know was there. This vacuum is also heavy, which while not a big deal for me, may be for some. I can still easily carry it up stairs. I am very happy with this vacuum! ....."
