"I love my beagles and consider them part of the family. But, I had to find a way to get their attention so they would listen to me. One is 7 years old and one is only 10 months old but they both were wanting to eat dog poo in the back yard. That's common amongst dogs and although it's disgusting, it's really not harmful to them. But, I wanted it to stop and I wanted them to listen to me when I yell NO!
All it took was two times on Level 2 and maybe 5-6 times using the short shock "nick" button and both dogs listen and obey. In fact, just wearing the collar is enough. I think I could just put a regular collar on both of them now and not have to worry. They may sniff at a "dog log" but they don't dare get near one.
I never had to use the settings above Level 2 but perhaps those are necessary for large dogs that won't behave. It's nice to know that this collar will work for probably any dog and any problem. Just say your command and reinforce it a couple of times with the collar and that's all there is to it.
I highly recommend this training collar. I had owned a cheaper version that wasn't rechargeable some years ago but it was more or less a complete joke. This collar is night and day different. Easy to use and it works. "
